Merapi Mountain Condition After Eruption

- General information
The information that we received at 21.10 WIB from Sumber Post is described as follow:
1.The erruption is happened at 18.08 and after that the residents experienced ash rain
2.At 18.40 WIB, a heavy ash rain occurred in Sumber region. Started with thundering sound, the ash in the shape of thick clumbs decended
3.The residents started to gather out side their houses and the meeting spots. For Sumber region, the spots are in Balai Desa Sumber (Sumber village hall) and SMP Kanisius Sumber (Kanisius Junor High School, Sumber)
4.The residents of disster risk region III (Kawasan Rawan Bencana /KRB III), namely Ngargomulyo and Krinjing are evacuated first.
5.The residents who has private vehicle (motorcycle and car) independetly evacuated and went to the temporary shelter
6.Around 19.30 WIB , the residents of disaster risk region II (Kawasan Rawan Bencana /KRB II) (located around Sumber) are evacuated. Temporary information stated that Sumber residents are accomodated in Banyubiru field. Until now (21.00) there are no tent in the Banyubiru field (Garonan), Dukun Sub-District
7.Until 21.06 WIB, there are some group evacuations. The trucks still climbed the mountain to evacuate the remaining residents
8.Not all the residents flee, the young and healty residents keep an eye the village. Until now, there is no victim in Sumber Parish region.
- Respond and coordination
1.After the incident/eruption, the team of Sumber Parish post helped to evacuate the resident until 21.00. After that the team did not continue to monitor the field because the bad street condition, the limited visibility because of the ash rain and the evacuation vehicles which run fast
2.The tomorrow morning plan is that the team of Sumber parish post will monitor the field condition (KRB III) and the conditon of the residents in barrack.
3.Right now, the team is identifying the need of the evacuated residents so that it is ready to find the some aid tomnigt or tomorrow morning.
